Episode 1

Chief Emeritus Ken Farrall joined Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company in 1962. In his 63 years of service, Chief Farrall has led the company as Fire Chief, responded to countless significant incidents, and was honored by the DVFA as the recipient of the 2024 Fireman of the Year Lifetime Achievement Award.

In this documentary, Chief Farrall shares some of his most memorable and challenging experiences, including a fatal commercial plane crash, a three-alarm fire at the Chrysler Assembly Plant, and multiple technical rescues. He also reflects on pivotal events in his career that helped shape Delaware's Emergency Services, including the implementation of the Delaware Fire Chief's Law and Delaware's Fire Lane Regulations.

Chief Farrall has accomplished an extraordinary amount over more than six decades, and we’ve done our best to capture his story in this 20-minute film.

We extend our sincere thanks to Chief Ken Farrall and Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company for partnering with us on this special project. We also thank our sponsors for helping make this possible.
